Moscow sees high inflation in January-February
Inflation in Moscow ran at 3.1 percent in January-February 2011. According to the city's statistics agency, January inflation reached 2.6 percent, and in February the metric stood at 0.5 percent. The consumer price index for food products amounted to 3 percent in January and 1.1 percent in February. For non-food products, the index equaled 1 and 0.2 percent, respectively. Inflation came in at 7.8 percent in Moscow in 2010.
